Cérèsia and TSE: a partnership to develop agrivoltaic projects for the benefit of farmers

The Cérèsia agricultural cooperative and TSE, reference in agrivoltaics in France, signed a partnership today at the Paris International Agricultural Show, a partnership to develop agrivoltaic projects on the cooperative's territory.

This alliance aims to launch the development of 250 MWp of projects by the end of 2030, i.e. the annual consumption of around 60,000 people, by reconciling agricultural production and energy transition.. This partnership will be led by a dedicated company responsible for the development and operation of TSE's agrivoltaic installations.

Agrivoltaics: winning synergy

A player committed to working alongside the agricultural world, TSE designs its agrivoltaic projects based on the needs of farmers. The agrivoltaics promoted and developed by TSE has been part of the APER Act and its implementing decrees from the outset. It allows the coactivity of green, decarbonized, sovereign, sovereign, inexpensive electricity production and sustainable agricultural production by supporting and maintaining the nourishing vocation of agricultural plots thanks to its innovative agroclimatic and agronomic solutions. Thus, TSE demonstrators present particularly positive agronomic results.

Sharing know-how and supporting farmers

Cérèsia and TSE will work in a complementary manner on all stages of each project: development, construction and operation of agrivoltaic power plants. This partnership, thanks to the expertise of Cérèsia and the know-how of TSE, will ensure the agricultural quality of the projects. The members of the cooperative will benefit from the economic benefits resulting from the co-development company, while the territory, in particular the local authorities, will benefit from the value created by these installations (local taxes, taxes, etc.).

As Antoine CAPRON points out, Deputy CEO of TSE:

“Agrivoltaics must be built in collaboration with all actors in the agricultural world. With this new partnership, TSE reinforces its commitment to the sector, which is the pillar of its strategy. By protecting crops against climatic hazards and by providing farmers with a diversified income supplement, the projects co-developed by Cérèsia and TSE will help to make farms sustainable.
The anchoring of Cérèsia in its territory and its expertise will reinforce the quality of agricultural projects and the support of operators throughout the life of the power plants. In addition to their contribution to the territory, these projects will ultimately allow the production of low-carbon, inexpensive and French electricity. This commitment by Cérèsia alongside us is perfectly in line with its strategy for a more sustainable world.”

Antoine HACARD, Chairman of the board of directors of the Cérèsia cooperative group continues:

“The solution proposed by TSE is part of the necessary diversification of farmers' incomes, by promoting energy production on our territory while maintaining agricultural activity at the heart of the project. It also provides environmental benefits by helping to protect our crops in the face of climatic hazards that are intensifying under the effect of climate change.
By partnering with TSE, Cérèsia ensures that the projects developed will be developed in accordance with the needs of farmers and the specificities of production. This partnership is fully in line with the innovation approach led by Cérèsia as well as its commitment to energy and environmental transition. The association Ceresia and TSE sustainably support the agricultural world and by maintaining the primary purpose of the land: to produce.”

This strategic partnership marks a new stage in the joint commitment of Cérèsia and TSE to sustainable, resilient and value-creating agriculture at the service of farmers and territories.
