Crowdfunding allows residents of a region to participate in a local solar project. It helps engage citizens and offers a particularly attractive return on investment.
It does not replace local dialogue, but it can become one of its tools: local residents are no longer just neighbors of a facility; they can contribute to its financing and benefit from a share of the value created.
Reduce your electricity bill: the TSE solar voucher
Residents of a community involved in a solar energy project can receive a discount on their electricity bill.
For certain projects, in partnership with an energy provider, TSE offers a “solar coupon” that provides a discount of €150 per year for 5 years.
Residents thus indirectly benefit from the green, lower-cost energy produced locally by our solar power plants.

Crowdfunding allows individuals and local residents to contribute to the development of solar energy projects in their region. Projects can be supported at various stages: during development studies, throughout the construction phase, or while the solar farm is in operation.
Citizen financial participation in the development of renewable energy is a widespread practice, often motivated by a desire to:
- get involved in the country's energy transition,
- contribute to a project that brings real value to the local area,
- boost local economic appeal by creating jobs.
Specialized crowdfunding platforms connect individuals looking to invest with small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in need of funding for their projects.
The solar coupon is an innovative solution launched by TSE, in partnership with an electricity provider, to allow local residents to benefit from discounted local solar energy. In practical terms, an automatic discount of €150 per year is applied to the electricity bills of households located in the municipality where a project is installed, for 5 consecutive years.
The offer is primarily intended for residents of the municipality hosting the power plant, though an extension to a neighboring municipality may be considered under certain conditions. The number of beneficiary households is limited and depends directly on the power plant's capacity (for example: 66 households for a 10 MW project). Registration is on a "first-come, first-served" basis, until the available quota is reached.
